Individuals using a valid state-issued disabled parking placard must also have a valid FIU parking permit linked to the vehicle’s license plate to park on campus. The placard must be issued to the individual using it, and the placard holder must be present when the vehicle is parked.

Vehicles displaying a valid Florida Disabled Veteran (DV) license plate may park in metered parking spaces without payment. The DV plate holder must be present, and all posted time limits and parking restrictions remain in effect
